DeLand Memorial Hospital & Veterans Museum

Located at 230 N. Stone Street, the DeLand Memorial Hospital and Veterans Museum, along with the Elizabeth Roe Burgess Pavilion, are owned and operated by the City of DeLand. The WVHS supports exhibits in the Burgess Pavilion and portions of the main hospital museum, showcasing eight different galleries, including the Dr. Gilbert R. and Ora Seigworth Medical and Apothecary Gallery, and the WWI & WWII Gallery. The Burgess Pavilion, historically the first hospital to serve West Volusia’s black citizens, features exhibits on African American local history and the work of early black medical professionals.
