Jail & Probation Education Program

The Jail & Probation Education Program, a collaborative effort between the Sutter County Superintendent of Schools, Sutter County Probation, and Sutter County Jail, provides educational services to interested adult participants within these settings. This program offers three educational pathways: High School Diploma (HSD), High School Equivalency Certificate (HiSET), and Adult Basic Skills (ABS). Participation is open to all, with individuals placed into specific pathways based on their individual needs and circumstances. In the jail setting, inmates have the opportunity to enroll in any of the three pathways, while clients under probation typically focus on either the HSD or HiSET programs. This initiative aims to empower participants with educational opportunities that support personal growth and facilitate successful reintegration into society.
