The Northern Nevada Reading Coalition is dedicated to the profound belief that proficient reading and writing skills are pivotal tools for a child's successful journey into adulthood, as substantiated by research. Our mission is to ensure that children enter Kindergarten equipped for learning and attain grade-level reading proficiency by the end of third grade. However, this endeavor is not one that can be accomplished in isolation. It is a substantial undertaking that necessitates the collective commitment and guidance of individuals, organizations, government bodies, and businesses from diverse sectors. United by a shared acknowledgment of this critical necessity and a shared aspiration to enhance the lives of children, leaders from across the region have united as the Northern Nevada Reading Coalition, spearheading this invaluable initiative.
