Surveying

Licensed in Arkansas and Mississippi, our team puts boots on the ground and digs into the project at hand. We develop the required details and create plans for moving development forward. We see what we do as opening up opportunities for bringing change and development to life.

The firm’s licensed professional surveyors maintain membership in the Mississippi Association of Professional Surveyors, Arkansas Society of Professional Surveyors, and National Society of Professional Surveyors to continue a tradition of the highest standard.

If you are purchasing property or selling property, a land survey will protect your investment and provide the comfort of knowing the property history for purchasing or selling. W. L. Burle Engineers, P. A. recommends the following when retaining a professional surveyor:

  • Only retain a professional surveyor who is duly licensed in the state in which the property is located.
  • Provide a copy of the property deed you wish to survey to the professional surveyor.
  • Discuss the purpose of the land survey with the professional surveyor and any particular items you may want to be located or if there exist any disputes with neighbors.
  • Request a proposal from the land surveyor to ensure that all your needs are addressed.

Upon completion of the land survey you have commissioned, you should have the property boundary located on the ground and be able to visually recognize the corners of the property. Also, the professional surveyor should supply you with a plat/drawing of the land survey conducted in accordance with the Standards of Practice.
