Field Trips
We love having field trips at Friends in Need!
Currently, we have volunteer support for K-6 field trips. Sample activities to be expected, properly adjusted for ages are:
Animal Introductions (depending on age)
- Yaks
- Domesticated Mink
- Goats
- Dwarf (Pancakes, Waffles, and Biscuits)
- Mini/Full Sheep
- Lambs (“Bummer lamb” discussion)
Full-grown Cows
- Molly & Mushu (Smaller cows)
- Norman (Jersey cow, will often lick the kids
Pigs
- Milo (Very small Julianna breed, Accidental litter discussion)
- Lucy, Piper, Allister, Officer Westley…
- Annabelle (former lab pig, 600 lbs. dancer
Peacocks
- Pigeons
- Chickens and Roosters
Horses
Patagonian Cavvys
Gardens
- Flowers
- Zinnias
- Gladiolas
- Bachelor Button
- Sunflowers
