American Red Cross Los Angeles Region boasts one of the most robust youth volunteer programs in the nation. Our 2000+ youth volunteers serve the Red Cross mission, fundraise, and learn leadership skills through their membership in one or more of our programs. The unique aspect of the Los Angeles Region Youth Program compared to other American Red Cross Regions is that we offer further local leadership opportunities through our unique Youth Corps program. Each year, seventy Youth Corps Executive Officers in our ten Youth Corps lead and organize local and regional activities for our Region’s youth.
The American Red Cross Youth & Young Adult Services is a multi-faceted program for youth and young adults from 13 to 24 years of age, offering many activities and courses for every age level. Youth programs build character and provide the tools and experience youth need for leadership, strong communication skills, and service. By interacting with those in need, Red Cross youth volunteers establish a sense of awareness and personal achievement while developing these skills.
New youth volunteers must register online, and those under 18 must get consent from their parents or guardian before starting their Red Cross volunteer journey.
